Red Barn RV Park, Holden, ME - Aug 15-22
We came to this park to attend our first Escapee rally, sponsored by the Northeast SKP chapter. It was fairly large for a chapter rally with about 80 rigs in attendance. One couple, who still live in a house, had a major RV breakdown just as they were leaving for the rally, so they showed up with a tent! Most of the local attendees seemed to be people who still have houses in the area, but visitors had come from far & wide. It was interesting to talk with them all.Our friends Fred & Linda met us in Bar Harbor for a week and are also spending a week here. We have enjoyed spending time with them. We also met several couples attending the rally who volunteer at Acadia. We hope to see some of them later at the national Escapee rally, called an Escapade, which will be in Lewisburg, WV, at the end of Sept.
